We are looking for experienced middle or high school mathematics teachers (5 years or more) in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District who would be interested in mentoring Noyce Scholars. Mentor teachers will work jointly with UNC Charlotte faculty to guide the scholars in their experience. Scholars will observe the mentor teacher in the class and work more closely with two or three students on a regular basis. Along with helping the students with the content, the scholars will foster relationships with the students over time.
Mentor teachers will be paid a stipend of $375/semester ($750/year) and will need to register in the Office of Field Experiences at UNC Charlotte.
